Discover Football – these friends of the Chicago Gold Stars are based in Berlin, Germany. In 2006 they organized a friendly match against the Iranian women’s national team. It was the first public women’s football match played in an Iranian stadium since the 1979 revolution. Ever since, they’re committed to further events that transcend national, political and cultural borders.
The Flying Bats – via the 2010 Gay Games, a few members of the Bats shared a Taxi with a couple of the Gold Stars to the opening ceremony. This sparked a friendship at the tournament where both teams cheered each each other on (and, luckily both were in separate divisions).
The Flying Bats are in Sydney, Australia and claim to be the largest & most well known lesbian club in the world.
